so..

I got denied the benefits I would've had to claim them within 3yrs 3mos and 15days.. But I'm still filing a claim and I'm going to appeal. This means that his parents will be sent a letter to certify that he acknowledged me as his daughter. So before I go and do all this I am writing his parents a letter. Me bullshitting about me and stuff I remember etc etc.. So I don't feel like I'm screwing them over even though none of the money belongs to them and no one else can claim it. In the meantime though my body is paying for all these nerves that are working over time.. sigh.. deep breaths..

Update on life..

I am convinced that this is MY year. My year to shine. My year for luck and happiness.. It's just going to be about me =).. First off I am graduating in June. I am so thrilled about that. Second baby daddy and I are going to DC, and Oahu. I will be moving back home for a few months to catch up on my bills then I'm moving to the same city as baby daddy. I will be doing my masters program there. That is the great news. In other news.. I found out somewhat recently that my father passed away in May of 2001. I didn't really know him. I remember meeting him once when I was 8yrs old. Other then that there hasn't been any contact between us. I do know that my mother on occasion contacted him though. Either way I now will never really know who he was. And it hasn't ever hit me until last night when I actually found his death information online along with his SSN. My father died at age 38 from liver cirrhosis. It's all very strange. I'm not sure how I am supposed to feel. I know my mom was very distraught about it all. I'm kind of lost though. Anyway.. I have an appointment with an attorney on Wednesday to talk about whether I can claim his social security benefits and whether or not there was a will or anything else that is legally mine. I'm not sure what the stature of limitations is but I'm doing it alone which I'm more then likely better off because my mom would be an absolute wreck. That's just a lil update on me.
